My passion in life has always been in problem solving. I have a knack for research and application that allows me to find the best solution to whatever problem I encounter.
I have always been really good at math so it was a logical next step for me to go into business and accounting for a profession. I started out in banking and moved into the corporate world as a controller. However, with three children I also saw the dynamics of my family as a problem to solve. I found myself working from home for a previous corporate company so that I could spend more time with my children. I absolutely love working for myself and having the flexibility of juggling my time between work and family. I also found myself homeschooling my children, which was both a great blessing to me as well as the biggest challenge of my life. There is so much more that goes into solving problems related to people than into accounting and finance.
Long story short, I am unafraid of a challenge. I proudly have many certifications in the QuickBooks programs as well as being a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers. It is my aspiration to finish the advanced certifications in QuickBooks both desktop and online this year to bring better service to my clients.
It has also been my privilege to become a certified consultant for the Small Business Development Center in North Metro Denver. This has allowed me to teaching classes on QuickBooks and Simple Accounting at for the SBDC as well as assisting clients of the SBDC as a volunteer. http://www.northmetrosbdc.com/about-us/consultants
